BUSINESS / ORGANIZATION:
Women By Choice GlobalOrlando, Florida
ABOUT THE BUSINESS / ORGANIZATION:Women By Choice Global is a global online network for women, with local chapters in cities across the U.S. Our purpose is to unite and empower women to win in both their personal and professional lives through events and education. Our mission is to break down barriers and bring women together to share their knowledge, resources, and connections with the goal of improving individual lives and entire communities. Our mantra is “When Women Support Women, We ALL Win!”
THE STORY:While in search of my true purpose, I began focusing on my passion, which is writing. I started a blog that I named Women By Choice because on my journey I found that being a woman is more than just a matter of turning 18 years old. Through my blog, I connected with like-minded women by sharing my testimonies and thoughts on how women can work better together. From there, those connections led me to realize my purpose of uniting and empowering women. Women By Choice, the network and sisterhood was born, to provide an environment for supportive and success-minded women to connect, fellowship, and assist one another to win.
ACCOMPLISHMENTS / ACCOLADES / AWARDS:I am proud to be a published author of She Wins: The Ultimate Guide for Women to Gain a Winning Mindset and Lead a Winning Lifestyle. I am also proud to have been recognized as an Ambassador of Change in Orlando, FL by Ambassadors of Change Inc and awarded the Social Media Blogger/Vloggee Award by Women on the Rise Orlando. I am honored to have been featured in Huff Post and Sheen Magazine, and to have been the cover girl for the March 2018 issue of Life Coach Network Magazine.
ROADBLOCKS AND CHALLENGES:I have had several road blocks, challenges, and struggles on my journey. I faced my greatest struggle one year into starting Women By Choice. I lost everything. I quit my government accounting job to pursue my purpose and shortly after my husband was laid off from his job. As we had just relocated to Orlando, we were not prepared for such a huge financial setback.
To make a long story short, I persevered with faith. I believed in myself and my vision and I pushed through despite how I felt and how dark my days looked. Everything that I lost has since had been returned to me, and I am a better woman now due to that trial, which has now become a testimony that I use to encourage and empower other women to win. I believe that I had to go through that to better relate to and assist other women.
