ABOUT THE BUSINESS / ORGANIZATION:
My name is Brionna Monique Williams, and I am 24 years old currently working as a freelance artist in the Philadelphia area. My specialties include modeling, dancing, and teaching. I graduated in May 2015 from the University of the Arts with my B.F.A in Dance Performance and Education. For the past three years, I have been focused on sharing my knowledge of dance and giving back to the younger generation. This came with teaching and choreographing at various dance schools to children ages 7 to 18. I started my modeling career in January 2016 shortly after I graduated. It first started out as a hobby and just something extra that I did on the side. Dance has always been my first love. I can’t really put into words how important it is to always have that in my life. Over time, I have grown a love and passion for modeling as well.
I am here to change the way people perceive models/dancers. There is not one look, one size, one anything! We are all different, so if diversity is what the industry is preaching then we actually have to practice it as well. If you are talented and driven, there should be no limit to what you can do. I am 5'1'; pretty short in the entertainment industry. However, I maneuver like I'm 6 feet. One thing I can say, I know for a fact that I can do anything I aspire to do. I want to encourage confidence, uniqueness, and individuality. I want to change the conversations that we, artists, have about one another. I want us to support other artists and not depreciate them. To look at each other as inspiration, not competition.
I’ve never been one to show off, but I’ve always put my best foot forward in anything that I do. I have to work extra hard every day because in an oversaturated industry, I've come to realize consistency is key no matter what.

THE STORY:
As a freelancer, I just take whatever opportunity comes my way. That’s the beauty of having that type of freedom and flexibility in my schedule. As far as my journey, I’ve been doing this thing since I was two years old (dance specifically) and I’ve always had a love and passion for the arts. From being enrolled in dance schools to my first dance recital, to performing arts in high schools and colleges, to teaching and extending my knowledge to the younger generation; being an artist has become a huge part of who I am as a woman.

ACCOMPLISHMENTS / ACCOLADES / AWARDS:
I believe my proudest moment, so far was graduating college as many young adults never reach that type of milestone. It was a joyous and humbling experience. At my graduation ceremony, I received the multiplicity award. I also received the Dean’s Scholarship and many other scholarships/grants. In high school, I was recognized as Female Dancer and Choreographer of the Year. To me, those accolades are only an extension of the hard work I put into everything that I do. I’m only 24, I haven't even begun to scratch the surface of my career, but I am thankful for all that I have accomplished thus far.

Personal LifeShare

RELAXATION:
My favorite way to relax is sitting with my window cracked open, letting the natural light into my room, lighting a eucalyptus candle, and listening to my favorite Spotify playlist. This moment really allows me to zone out and reconnect with my senses.

I love to read on the train when going to and from places. It really gives me a sense of purpose.

Lastly, nature walks or just sitting any place where there is a constant stream of water. The sound is so soothing, and the energy is really nurturing. I want to live on an island someday.

HEROES:
I would say my mommy is my hero and my granny is my mentor. Both of them preached to me, "You can do all things through Christ who strengthens you," and I truly believe that. They have been my biggest supporters throughout my journey, always making sure I'm doing the right thing and doing it with a humble heart. They are both strong women, so I believe that is where my fight to be the best I can becomes from. I only want to make them proud and be able to take care of them like they have so selflessly taken care of me.
