ABOUT THE BUSINESS / ORGANIZATION:
Color Vision is an organization dedicated to advancing the next generation of women of color in creative industries.

THE STORY:
I've always loved everything about the television and film industry as long as I could remember. It was no surprise to anyone in my family when I majored in Broadcast Journalism at Hofstra University in NYC and received huge internships at places like CNN, Rock The Vote, and more. While climbing the ladder at major networks during my career I began to notice right away that I was either one of the only people of color in the room or the only, even at the young age of eighteen I kept asking myself how I could change that. I've been fortunate enough over the years to help young women of color get jobs and internships in creative industries, but I wanted to do more. When 2018 hit I decided to start Color Vision to help other women advance in creative industries.

ACCOMPLISHMENTS / ACCOLADES / AWARDS:
Over the years I've been blessed to be on 30 under 30 list, recognized by industry vets like Tavis Smiley as Youth Leader of the year and others, but my proudest moment yet happened during a Color Vision event I had earlier this year when a young woman came up to me with tears in her eyes and told me it was life changing. We're still in contact and to me that's what giving back is all about.

ROADBLOCKS AND CHALLENGES:
There's always roadblocks and challenges a long the way when you're trying to be successful. I've had a few challenges, but learned great lessons from all of them. One of the hardest lessons that I've learned is that going into business with a close friend isn't always smart, it's certainly not worth ruining the friendship.

RELAXATION:
I love relaxing, it's so important in business . I truly believe self care is vital to your being.

1.) I love indulging in a good page turning book that has me captivated all day.
2.) Another way I self care is spa days! There's nothing like a good massage or a good facial
3.) I also love having date nights with my husband and not worrying about a thing.
