ABOUT THE BUSINESS / ORGANIZATION:
As a brand strategist, I aim to level the playing field for visionary women of color. My goal is to give them the strategies, tools and accessibility they need to brand their big ideas. The toolkit I use in SHH Creative, LLC to help my clients create impact includes: inspiration, strategy and implementation. Implementing your vision into action can require big, transformational work, and I am here for it! I am also a fan of women using their personal stories to create alignment in their brands and to connect with more with their dream clients. The creation of something authentic gives more power and fulfillment as a woman, and allows brilliance to shine through all aspects of business, which includes branding and marketing.

THE STORY:
I began my journey freelancing while in college at Florida A&M University (FAMU) in Tallahassee, FL. Over the past 15 years, I have worked in design, digital marketing and photography for small businesses, non-profits, government agencies and a few global companies. In 2017, I made the decision to work for myself, which would allow me full control over the businesses and projects. Additionally, I decided to work specifically with women of color entrepreneurs, in an effort to bring my knowledge to their doorstep. We are not all privy to the ins and outs of business and branding and I wanted to be a resource to those looking to launch and/or expand their dream brands. By restructuring my programs and offering free resources, such as my brand new Free Resource Library, and access to my private Facebook community, Visionary Brand: The Community, an accessible platform was created where biz owners are able to discuss and resolve all types of branding struggles.

ACCOMPLISHMENTS / ACCOLADES / AWARDS:
I have always been very proud of securing academic and artistic scholarships in both my undergraduate and graduate studies. I was a Silver place SCADDY AWARDS finalist at Savannah College of Art & Design (SCAD) in the Television Commercial campaign category. My work has even been featured on television! Recently I was featured by Pixels for Humans for their 2019 #blackfuturemonth series alongside other black workers in tech + digital spaces who are helping creating black future.

SUCESS:
Success has become more of an internal process built around goals. I set goals personally and professionally, and then I leave them. I literally walk away, cover them up and forget about them. As long as I've written them down and made them plain, I have learned to switch my focus and go on about life. in the aspect of business I set dates to check in on those goals, either monthly or quarterly, and I've found that once I decided to take decisive action every day, I started to hit my goals. It is one of the things that has been fascinating to me along my journey which keeps me out of the feeling of needing to continue to "one-up" myself.

GLOBAL FOCUS:
I would love to help others to have more empathy. There are a multitude of problems in the world that we have no control over and simply can not avoid. What we can do, is look at another human being and see the same suffering, see their children as our children, and feel for them the way we would have someone feel for us. Not doing so is one of the main tenants that keeps division alive and allows for privilege, sexism and systemic racism to live on.
