BUSINESS / ORGANIZATION:
MCXX Brand/ALSIGE Foundation IncAtlanta, Georgia
ABOUT THE BUSINESS / ORGANIZATION:MCXX (Eleven Twenty Brand) is a company for the sexy business professional and specializes in the manufacturing and processing of natural bath and body products. All products are made with natural ingredients and made by hand and are sold under the company’s own brand. A portion of all the proceeds of MCXX Purple Label Collection goes to ALSIGE Foundation, Inc., a 501(c)3 non-profit organization benefiting cancer warriors, veterans and their caregivers.
ALSIGE Foundation Inc was created to provide services, assistance and resources for cancer warriors, veterans and their caregivers. ALSIGE advocates for the many forms of cancer and all branches of military service. We understand the hardships endured not only to cancer warriors and veterans, but the caregivers as well. Not everyone dealing with issues stemming from cancer or the military have the means to fight. This is where ALSIGE plays a huge part -- by providing education, resources, assistance and compassion to help those in need.
ALSIGE is the right place for these individuals to find assistance during their time of need as we provide assistance, physical, financial, and emotional support, stress relief and education and awareness.
THE STORY:I am originally from East St Louis, Illinois and am a US Navy Veteran. I spent my entire adulthood serving my country and now serving those who have served. In memory of my mother and in honor of fellow veterans, I started ALSIGE Foundation, Inc. to assist cancer warriors and veterans in transition. My mission is to educate and provide resources to individuals in need. I hope to provide a more impactful change to the Department of Veterans Affairs by demonstrating more insightful ways of improving veterans’ access to care and information related to their benefits.
I have also always taken an interest in finding ways to improve processes and help others achieve their dream of being a small business owner, entrepreneur or move up in their career. My hope is to one day have a facility where I will be able to help individuals become fit (financially, physically, mentally and emotionally) to deal with their current struggles and obstacles as well as provide them with an abundance of information and resources.
MCXX Brand was birthed when I began researching ways to make products for cancer patients that would not irritate their skin and consisted of natural ingredients. My stepfather developed extremely dry skin while going through Chemotherapy. Nothing he used seemed to work or provide enough moisture to keep his hands and feet from cracking and splitting.
I later decided to expand the customer base after learning more and more people wanted to use natural-based bath and body products. Through a lot of trial and error, I finally feel I have a product that I can truly be proud of, that compares highly to those and Bath and Body and Victoria Secrets. I hope to be one of the few major black-owned bath and body companies.

SUCESS:Success to me means accomplishing the small things that I felt were hurdles; whether personally or in business. I find joy in celebrating the small achievements because eventually they all add up to something BIG. The best part of success is that you get to see all of your hard work come to life. It's an amazing euphoria where you get the feeling that it was all worth it. The worst part of success is the demands people place on you and all of the new-found friends that come from out of space. It becomes extremely important to stay humble and grounded to ensure you can clearly see those that truly support you.
LOOKING BACK:I would tell my younger self: Don't spend too much time being angry about things you can't control. By holding on to that anger you are holding yourself back from your true purpose. Everything you will go through is to make you the person you are meant to be -- so embrace it!
