BUSINESS / ORGANIZATION:

Sulonda Smith

ABOUT THE BUSINESS / ORGANIZATION:
I am a founder of The Inner Circle Counseling Center and SulondaSmith.com. I specialize in communication by teaching men what to say, how to say it, and when to say it to build happier, more committed relationships. I work with men who truly desire to understand women, master communications skills, and have happy relationships with the women in their lives. Many couples have to strengthen weak communication to solve common and complex problems.

Originally from Wisconsin, I am now living in Georgia. I have a Master's Degree in Counseling with an emphasis on Marriage and Family Therapy from California State University Hayward, as well as a Coaching certification from The Institute for Life Coaching Training. I’m a frequent flyer on podcast radio and public television. More than just an in-the-moment kind of speaker, I stay in your head pumping you up and cheering you on long after the event!

My goal is to help 100,000 men master clear communication, build better relationships, and earn the respect they want.

THE STORY:
After so many short and failed relationships, I knew there was a problem. I finally and reluctantly admitted, it was me! I didn't understand men. I decided to learn and research who they are, and what makes them tick. And I have learned how to create the relationships I want. Through my experience, I now teach other people to do the same; in my coaching sessions, workshops, books, and keynotes.

As a psychotherapist for 20+ years, I have learned so much about people, both men and women, and myself. As I shifted gears working with more couples, I realized many people don't have good communication skills and they also lack a real understanding of relationships. My male clientele grew because I offered something unique. I provide the tools to correctly identify confusing emotions and limited language skills. I give them the exact words that fit their personality and the understanding of who women are and what they want.

And so, today I work with men teaching them what to say, how to say it and when to say it to build happier relationships and how to have more respect, intimacy, trust, and appreciation with women! Although I work directly with men, I want the benefits to help women who are in a relationship with these men, so that they can be happy too!

ACCOMPLISHMENTS / ACCOLADES / AWARDS:
I am most proud of couples counseling when my clients are smiling and sitting close together on the sofa, usually around the 5th session, in comparison to the sitting distance of the first day. I love hearing, "We are so happy to be here because we couldn't solve this problem ourselves and finally we got an answer." And I know I've succeeded when I see head nods from male clients, during coaching sessions, which affirms that what I said about men's behavior and about what they need in their relationship is correct. It feels great. I've gotten recognition from various counseling centers during previous employment for best therapist and service provider of the year and month. And lastly, great Google reviews show my clients are getting results.

ADVICE:
The best advice I've ever received is that life is like developing a theatrical play which is your story. You get to write the script, pick the players, and change your scenery at any time. I use this advice in my business by never thinking I don't have to settle for anything and that I have the power to change whatever I want. I am not stuck.

GLOBAL FOCUS:
If I had the power to change one thing about the world it would be to practice unconditional love!
