Meet Regina Rached, a photographer based in Tampa, Florida. She began her photography business in 2014 and specializes in weddings and portraits, as well as boudoir photography. Her secret to great photography is chatting with them before their session and familiarizing herself with their expectations.  This process helps the client to relax and helps her to produce an authentic product.  Read more about this amazing entrepreneur, and take a look at a few samples of her photography work on her Chronicles Too! feature; link below:

This week we are pleased to spotlight Ms. LaNai’ Whitaker, Founder of the organization, Simply Helping – Ms. Whitaker is our first recipient of our new Igniting Change Award!

As part of an initiative to Go National with its membership, Classy Living Society will honor, celebrate and fellowship with Societies in the states where it has memberships, and will go on the road and present a number of fabulous events in those locales!

As we travel, we will honor those nonprofits and community service organizations that we hold in high regard.  The Igniting Change Award is designed to recognize those organizations that demonstrate tireless effort in giving back to the community and bringing awareness to and furthering the causes they serve.  Nominees for this award will be selected from those featured on Chronicles Too!

Ms. Whitaker received the Igniting Change Award at this past weekend’s Yellow Dress Brunch in Houston, Texas (read more about this brunch in this issue of CLS on the Move!).

Read more about Ms. Whitaker and her organization by clicking on the link below.  Congratulations, LaNai’!

Get Featured in the Chronicles Too!

What is it that sparks us to make a change?  Sometimes it’s someone else’s story that lights a fire in us.  Or something we see on the street as we move through our cities and towns that just doesn’t seem right.  Or it could be our very own story that moves us into action.

Chronicles Too! – the official blog of Classy Living Society was influenced by the Classy Chronicles, the official quarterly magazine of Classy Living Society.  It features amazing people, businesses and nonprofits doing amazing things in the community.

It takes courage to be vulnerable enough to take a stand or tell your truth.  In sharing the stories that matter, Classy Living Society intends to shine a spotlight of encouragement on the people who are making our world a better place.

Do you know of a remarkable person/business/nonprofit whose story should be told?  Or how about YOUR story? Click on the link below and enter your/their email at “Get Featured!”

Let’s spread the word about those who are shining their light in the world.  No matter how small the light of one, if we put together the individual lights of many – Oh, what a mighty light it shall be!

What is it that sparks us to make a change?

Sometimes it’s someone else’s story that lights a fire in us.  Or something we see on the street as we move through our cities and towns that just doesn’t seem right.  Or it could be our very own story that moves us into action.

As most of my readers know, I am the Editor in Chief of Classy Living Society (CLS), a national women’s community service organization.  A little over a year ago, CLS Founder LaShanda Pitts and I developed an online magazine for the organization – Chronicles Too! which features amazing nonprofit organizations, awesome businesses and business owners, people doing great things in the community and more.  In the year following, Chronicles Too! has not only featured some amazing people, it became the platform for the #KeepGoing Award, an annual award presented by CLS to individuals selected from the Chronicles Too! features.

It takes courage to be vulnerable enough to take a stand or tell your truth.  In sharing the stories that matter, CLS intends to shine a spotlight of encouragement on the people who are making our world a better place.
