On Saturday, April 20, CLS volunteers gathered for a morning of packing meals for delivery to individuals who would otherwise go without.  Looking Classy in their hairnets and aprons, the ladies managed to put together over 1000 nutritious meals!  Working alongside one another encourages friendship and sisterhood bonding; all while giving back, which is always a win-win situation!

Open Hand prepares, packs and delivers over 6,000 healthy meals each day throughout the metro-Atlanta area and are passionate about building a healthier community.  Through people-centered services and partnerships, they create access to healthy meals and nutrition education, empowering their clients and the community to achieve personal goals for health and wellness.  Open Hand’s mission is: We cook. We deliver. We teach. We care.

“It was wonderful having your group with us! I hope you all truly enjoyed your experience. There is absolutely no way that Open Hand would be able to prepare, package, and deliver 6,000 meals each day without the help of teams like yours who take time out of their day to serve. Your group’s service packing 1,569 meals continues to prove that fact!”- Thank you note from Open Hand Atlanta to CLS Founder LaShanda Pitts

It was an honor and a privilege to partner with Open Hand Atlanta to provide meals to those in need in the Atlanta area!
