On October 24th, the Classy Living Society volunteered at the Farmer Street Garden in Houston. Many helped to revitalize garden beds through weeding, turning dirt, planting, and watering. Others helped with landscaping by mowing and trimming the grass and other plants.
On October 18, 2020, the members of the Classy Living Society came together to participate in a virtual scavenger hunt. Each member had 15 minutes to gather as many items from the mystery list as they could find in their home.
On Saturday, October 17th, the ladies of CLS came together to help in a Can-a-thon in partnership with Georgia Natural Gas. They helped load trucks and donated canned goods and nonperishable items.
On Saturday, October 17th, the Classy Living Society wore pink and joined a virtual walk to raise Breast Cancer awareness. From October 8th – October 31st, the members of CLS were able to create their own personal encouragement cards for those who have cancer and could use some hope during these hard times.
On October 1st, the Classy Living Society helped to contact older adults who are housing vulnerable to check on them, inform them of new protections that Los Angeles city has passed to protect renters, and see if they needed support. Link to Non-Profit
On September 26th, members of the Classy Living Society participated in the AIDS Walk Atlanta, either virtually or in person. Proceeds raised from the walk and festival went to local AIDS service organizations that fight to end the epidemic in our community every day.
