CLS Members Make MLK a Day ON, not a Day OFF!

January 18th, 2021 is Martin Luther King Day! It is nationally recognized as a Day of Service. Cities across the world have created creative ways in which those who wish to partake in the selfless act of giving back and volunteering may do so.

Annually the members of Classy Living Society have also taken to the streets, rolled up their sleeves, and served, served, and served alongside one another on this epic Day of Service. This year CLS sisters did not waiver in their commitment to serve despite the limitations and challenges of serving our communities in person and shoulder to shoulder. Members were given the opportunity to send a note of congratulations, be it a handwritten or virtual one to a new homeowner of a Habitat for Humanity home. There is great pride in becoming a homeowner, and Habitat for Humanity makes that possible along with the many volunteers involved to ensure families in need can be gifted a home that they can call their own.  Having the opportunity to connect with a new homeowner, and extending well wishes by sending a note can make a world of a difference.  In addition, please be sure to check out the various volunteer efforts which were made available to those right here in Georgia https://www.mobilize.us/nationaldayofservice/
