Human trafficking is a form of modern-day slavery. This crime occurs when a trafficker uses force, fraud or coercion to control another person for the purpose of engaging in commercial sex acts or soliciting labor or services against his/her will. Force, fraud, or coercion need not be present if the individual engaging in commercial sex is under 18 years of age.
Many people are not aware that there are resources available to help victims of these egregious acts, and the ladies of Classy Living Society wanted to be sure that they too can do their part to bring further awareness to helping their Community Partner; The National Human Trafficking Hotline. In that effort, CLS members spent the day posting statistics surrounding the cause to eradicate human trafficking as well as sharing information concerning the various resources which the National Human Trafficking Hotline offers.
The gathered information was posted on each member’s social media platforms as part of their volunteer effort.
