Born out of her own experiences with low self-esteem and identity crisis, Sharmayne developed a passion to reach out to girls and women, to help them avoid falling into the same crisis. She established Pretty Girls, Inc., is a 501(c)3 organization that enhances girls ages 3-18 to embrace their internal and external image through developing positive mental health, hygiene, academic excellence, healthy alternatives and etiquette, for their current and future endeavors. I love the fact that women could come together in a positive way, give back, love on one another, encourage one another, and the ultimate thing was being apart of something bigger than me! So glad I joined!
My friend invited me to “Get On the Bus” in 2016. I didn’t know what to expect, but I needed a quick get away. From the moment we boarded the bus I could feel the positive energy. The trip made me realize it was time to put thoughts into action. I love that I have the opportunity to volunteer and socialize with classy women.
I was fortunate to win a free membership at the RDG... However, I was going to join CLS either way. I love the spirit of giving back and I felt such a wonderful sense of Sisterhood, compassion, caring, generosity and loyalty. It just feels like where I'm supposed to be in order to better serve and I am blessed to be able to do so with such a wonderful group of women.
