The secret to having it all is knowing that you already do…

We spend a fair amount of time wishing we were 10 pounds slimmer or that our bank accounts were larger, or that we were more beautiful or more outgoing or had more time for fun activities.  If only we’d chosen to accept an offered position or career, finished school…or we just generally envy others’ lives as we perceive them to be better than our own. More of this or less of that…the reality is we should only concern ourselves with who we are and what we have.  Gratefulness…

Apart from exercising love, being actively grateful has such power; it has the potential to transform our very lives and the nature of our days.  It also compels us to concentrate on our present, which means less time to agonize over the past or worrying about the future.

With that in mind, to keep gratitude at the forefront of your day, when you rise in the morning, think of one to three things that you are grateful for.  At night before going to bed, do the same – think of one to three things that happened during the day that you are grateful for. Keep a notebook/journal at your bedside to quickly jot down those reflections.  You will find more great things to be thankful for than you realize!

Giving honor to gratitude on a daily basis and being consciously present in your present will attract even more things into your life to be grateful for.  The possibilities of gratitude are endless!

As we celebrate Thanksgiving, and the beginning of a joyous holiday season, share the gift of thankfulness and gratitude.  Share words of appreciation and love and kindness to family and friends, neighbors and co-workers, the mailman, the bagger at the grocery store, the barista at the coffee shop.  Acknowledging your own gratitude will uplift you, but the invincible power of sharing gratitude with another will speak volumes.

Classy Living Society is thankful for your love and support throughout the year!  May your Thanksgiving Day be filled with love, family & friends, good food, good times and gratitude!
