It’s graduation season…and there aren’t very many other times during the year that evoke heartwarming stories as during this time.
Take for instance, Sharonda Wilson and her son Stephan Wilson. Sharonda was set to graduate from college on the same day as her son, Stephan – but from two different universities. Of course, in true motherly fashion, Sharonda chose to skip her graduation ceremony to attend her son’s ceremony. Little did she know that the President of Central Michigan University contacted the President of her school, Ferris State University, to request permission to present Sharonda with her degree. It was a surprise to both mother and son to receive their degrees together – click on the link below for more of the story.

This story brought tears to my eyes. Both mother and son accomplished so much and to receive their degrees that way was amazing. The powers that be made it work and now they’ll both have a testimony that they’ll be able to pass on to their future generations.
This is so awesome!
