On the bright and shiny Saturday morning of July 14, 2018, CLS sisters and guests gathered to #GetOnTheBus – and travel to sunny Savannah, Georgia to fellowship with one another and say hello to our Savannah sisters!  Embodying the summer season, the women wore sundresses and sun hats for a day of sisterhood and fun.  The bus ride to Savannah included a delicious breakfast and mimosas, games, prizes, raffles and more – it was the ultimate moving party.  As a sisterhood bonding gesture, each lady was asked to bring a love gift of their favorite thing(s) to present to their seatmate to celebrate one another and our connection to each other.

Upon arrival in Savannah, there was a welcome reception at Vic’s on the River, a fine-dining restaurant in a 19th-century warehouse famous for its classic Southern dishes.  The ladies enjoyed seafood appetizers, cocktails and plenty of hugs and smiles. Then it was on to Sorry Charlie’s, a casual seafood restaurant, for delicious Frose’ drinks (a CLS Founder’s favorite!) and lunch.  The next stop was Rocks on the Roof, a trendy top-floor hot spot at the beautiful Bohemian Hotel, which included smooth music and rooftop fun.  The ladies enjoyed breathtaking views of the Savannah River and Historic District, plus small plates, tapas and handcrafted cocktails.

Upon return to Atlanta, the ladies were tired, but refreshed from the wonderful experience.  They returned with photos and stories of the great day they had in Savannah, the coastal gem of Georgia.  55 women in beautiful sundresses and sun hats enjoyed a day trip designed to promote sisterhood, inspire and fellowship with members and friends.  These things, and our ongoing mission to give back to the community, are what make Classy Living Society a unique women’s community service organization!
