The 6th Annual Red Dress Gala is just one week away and we are Red Dress Gala Ready and Excited!
Attendees at this year’s Red Dress Gala will enjoy performances by talented entertainers, hilarious comedy, speeches, and an opportunity to mingle and network with one another and esteemed special guests. A delicious brunch will be served and the Grand Ballroom of the Le Meridien Hotel in Downtown Houston Texas will be overflowing with 200+ classy ladies adorned in red dresses for a cause.
This year, the event theme is “Access Taken”, honoring the women of Houston who are breaking down barriers as pioneers in their respective fields, succeeding in the face of adversity, and representing an unwavering determination mixed resolute drive in building their businesses, brands and nonprofit organizations. Special guest honorees include:
Kim Roxie, Founder & CEO, LAMIK Beauty
Tyla-Simone Crayton, CEO, Sienna Sauce
Khaliah Guillory, Founder and CEO, The Nap Bar
Dr. Bridgette Jenkins, President & CEO, The Houston Chapter of Black Nurses Rock
This will surely be an afternoon where women hear from other women who have defied the odds and used past failures to propel them to amazing successes.
As in previous years, CLS attaches a special giveback initiative to its Red Dress Gala, with all attendees participating. This year, attendees are asked to bring socks for men, women, boys, and girls to be presented to Sock Out Poverty, who is also the recipient of CLS’s coveted Classy Living Award. Sock Out Poverty, Inc. is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization that provides socks, clothing and other material goods to men, women, boys, and girls that are in need or less fortunate.
This year’s Gala is hosted by CLS’s own 501(c)(3) entities, Legacy for Change and CLS Cares and a portion of the proceeds from Red Dress Gala ticket sales will benefit these institutions and are tax deductible.
