February is designated as American Heart Month, and each year on the first Friday of February, the nation comes together, igniting a wave of red from coast to coast, to raise awareness of cardiovascular disease and stroke. CLS took to social media this past Friday, February 1, to encourage others to #WearRedandGive. Together, we can empower women to beat heart disease and stroke, giving them more time to spend with their families and friends and to do many more amazing things in this world. I love the fact that women could come together in a positive way, give back, love on one another, encourage one another, and the ultimate thing was being apart of something bigger than me! So glad I joined!
My friend invited me to “Get On the Bus” in 2016. I didn’t know what to expect, but I needed a quick get away. From the moment we boarded the bus I could feel the positive energy. The trip made me realize it was time to put thoughts into action. I love that I have the opportunity to volunteer and socialize with classy women.
I was fortunate to win a free membership at the RDG... However, I was going to join CLS either way. I love the spirit of giving back and I felt such a wonderful sense of Sisterhood, compassion, caring, generosity and loyalty. It just feels like where I'm supposed to be in order to better serve and I am blessed to be able to do so with such a wonderful group of women.
