Easter Sunday is a day that we traditionally dress in our Sunday best and attend a place of worship. We fellowship with family and friends over brunch or a marvelous feast for dinner. We have fun in the sun with our children as they hunt for dyed Easter eggs. Treats fill the Easter baskets we give to one another, even if we’ve outgrown them years ago. And for some, Easter is the day to reflect on the resurrection of Jesus and the self-sacrifice and renewal that is a part of that beautiful story.
Easter is also a time to think about how you can give from the heart. What does that look like for you? Your act of selfless giving might be to volunteer at a soup kitchen or donate much-needed items to a shelter for families that are impacted by domestic violence. It could be to share your life story of triumph over a hardship or challenge with an eye toward helping others overcome their own adversities. Or, it could be as simple as brightening the day of an elderly relative or friend you haven’t spoken with in a while by giving them a phone call.
At the heart of Classy Living Society is our mission to give back to the community and provide a hand up to those less fortunate. There are not many things in life more rewarding than to demonstrate love and caring. Anne Frank said, “How wonderful it is that nobody need wait a single moment before starting to improve the world.” Now, more than ever, is a good time to give from the heart – each one, reach one.
From all of us to all of you, Happy Easter. We wish for you and your families a day of love, reflection, hope and peace.
