How long does it take for my membership to become active?

Members who join online are automatically activated at time of joining/renewing. 

When will I receive my membership welcome package?

Members can pick up their welcome package at any one of the community outreach efforts. Please see one of the member relations team members upon your arrival.

How many volunteer activities/events do I have to participate to remain an active member?

CLS members are encouraged to participate a minimum of 24 hours a year. That’s 2 hours every other month. Please check out Individual Volunteer Opportunities that will be continuously updated where you can volunteer on your own or with friends and family at your discretion. 

I only participated 20 volunteer hours activities/events this year. What happens now?

CLS members are encouraged to participate a minimum of 24 hours a year however, it is not mandatory. Please note that members who do not reach the minimum volunteer requirements will miss out on the opportunity to win at the CGA’s.

What are the CGA’s?

The CGA’s or Classy Giving Awards is the premier volunteer awards program CLS will host each year to highlight members who have been standouts in CLS and the community! The CGA’s will recognize CLS members and present awards in the following categories: Volunteer Engagement, Outstanding Volunteer, Community Impact, and Charity Partnership. I have not received my membership card. What should I do?

I moved out of state and will no longer be an active member of CLS. Can I get a refund?

CLS membership is nonrefundable; however, we understand that life happens and we will do our best to accommodate any refunds within the first 30 days of membership. Please contact the Membership Committee for more information at members@cls-volunteer.org.

What is CLS’ cancellation policy?

CLS members may request to receive a full refund of membership made within 30 days of joining if you are not 100% satisfied with CLS and becoming an active member. All charges beyond 30 days from date of cancellation are non-refundable. CLS has ongoing commitments to support a number of charitable causes and we promise your dues will be used towards a worthy cause! How long is my CLS membership term?

A CLS membership is good for one year from the time the application is processed.

 My membership has lapsed/expired. How can I renew it?

If your membership has lapsed you can reinstate your membership at any time by renewing on-line. You must have your membership number to renew. If you have lost your membership number, please e-mail us at members@cls-volunteer.org.
